Saving Trees & Saving Time

Birthday and greeting cards are often one of those last-minute purchases for most of us, due to the fact that we usually give them to people as a side-component of the gift that we are giving.  I always get so frustrated at myself when I forget to buy one, because then I have to scramble at the last minute to find one suitable for the occasion I need it for.

If you live in a major city, such as NYC like I do, you know the struggle of leaving enough time to get to places that would be a lot faster to travel to if you had a car.

Up until now, I didn't know how fast and simple purchasing a card for someone could be. In fact...you don't even have to leave your apartment, room, or bed for that matter! Paperless Post will become the answer to your last minute card needs, and will save you the stress that you might get from rushing around.

One of the best parts about this service is that you can digitally send it to the recipient, eliminating the need of wasting paper that will most likely be thrown out shortly after opening it. I always feel guilty about throwing away cards because of the heartfelt messages that they contain, but sometimes there is just no way around it, unless you want your house flooded with paper. But with Paperless Post products, you don't have to worry about killing trees since you can send your cards digitally to your loved ones!

With PaperlessPost, you can get really great, well-designed cards, within a minute!  Becoming a designer has never been easier; Paperless Post gives you the ability to customize your cards from start to finish. You begin by selecting the category that your card might fall under:
  • Holiday
  • Birthday
  • Wedding
  • Parties & Entertainment
  • Business
  • Cards & Stationary
From there, you narrow down your search results further and select the exact occasion and gender that you are shopping for. You then browse the large selection that the site offers, and you are already halfway done. Next,  you customize it by choosing the following design effects:

1) Choose the card's backdrop

2) Create your message!

3) Choose your Envelope Liner!

4) Choose the Envelope's Stamp and Postmark

 5) Choose your design for a Reply Card-if necessary!
(This is a great feature if you are sending out event invitations and are expecting written responses back)

6) Send to your Recipient!

I highly recommend trying out this site if you appreciate well-crafted cards , without the hassle of running to a store at the last minute!

London in 3 Days

When you return from studying abroad for a semester, you are going to be frequently asked: "What was your favorite place that you traveled to?" Although its such a simple question, I sometimes struggle to answer it because there are so many amazing cities/countries in this world, each of them unique and special for different reasons. There are so many factors that you consider when you think about whether you like/dislike a particular place: The sites; the culture; the food; the people; the layout/terrain of the place; the liveliness, and the list just goes on and on.

Always Free Events in NYC

Living in such a fast-paced city with so much going on at all times, you always feel the need do exactly the same-always be doing something! One thing I hate most is feeling that I am wasting time doing nothing when the whole world is right outside of my window, waiting for me to join in on the action. The problem that we all encounter though, is how to have fun without breaking the bank.

Being that there are so many exciting places to go to here, your wallet eventually starts to suffer a little bit. So, as a student living in NYC, I have been on a mission to scope out activities/events which require you  to spend very little to no money at all!

Vienna Waits for you...

I don't know about you, but before I visited Vienna-I honestly did not know anything at all about    this city. All I knew was that it was located in Austria, and it is the name of one of Billy Joel's songs - "Vienna." I am actually a big fan of this song, which talks about taking time to just slow down, enjoy life, and know that you are doing alright! Although the song might not completely and solely have to do with Vienna itself, the lyrics are fitting for this city. It is quite an inviting place with a cool historical charm to it, while some areas still resemble a modern city. From the 24 hours that I spent there, it seemed like a pretty happy and calm place, and really great for just appreciating life! :)

Since my visit in Vienna was very short, I was only really able to see a handful of attractions while I was there, but was still able to get a pretty good taste of it! One must-see attraction is St. Stephen's Cathedral; you can't miss the unique and beautiful design work on the building's roof! When you go, you should definitely climb the church's tower; it has such an incredible view of the city (pictured above).

Being that Vienna is known to have a great cafe culture, you should definitely stop in one to enjoy   their Viennese special coffee topped with whipped cream, or the city's famous Sacher Torte chocolate cake! Aside from the food and drink itself, the atmosphere of the traditional cafes here are very elegant and ornate. One such place is the Sacher cafe, which will make you feel like nothing short of royalty!
If you get the chance, I definitely recommend making a trip to this beautiful city! Afterall, Vienna waits for you...

Spots of Spring

There are very few things that scream happiness more than the
sudden appearance of a warm day, during what would still be considered
wintertime. And when that happens, you would be silly not to take
advantage of it and soak in the sun with a new spring look.

Eating your way through Florence

After spending one semester in Florence, I have really become well-acquainted will all of the best eateries around this beautiful city. As it turns out, Florence isn't just an old historic city with lots of famous museums, churches, and monuments. It is also teeming with some pretty amazing food. After all, it is located in Italy, so you really can't have a bad eating experience :)

So, instead of keeping you wondering-I am going to provide you with some of my personal favorite food places, which will keep you occupied starting at breakfast, and all the way until post-dinner treats.

Bonjour Paris

To answer your question-Yes, Paris really is as beautiful as the movies and books make it seem! There is just something so magical about the quaint city streets, with the aromatic scent of fresh baguettes wafting by and the glowing lights of the Eiffel tower in the distance. You can’t help but feel warm and happy inside when you are here. When you make your first step into this dreamy city, I hope you feel the same “ahhh” moment that I felt when I first arrived.

Favorite NYC Coffee Shops

I am constantly on the hunt for cozy, comforting coffee shops in NYC, anytime I need a little escape from the hustle & bustle of the city. Coffee shops have become my designated sanctuary for studying or just simply catching up with a friend. I have picked out a few of my favorite spots in the city, so far. But, after another semester of going to school here, I know my list will become even more extensive.

Strolling through Chianti Vineyards

It is nearly impossible to make a visit to Tuscany, without making at least one visit to the Chianti vineyards. Most people, including myself, may not realize that Chianti is actually the name of the region famous for a majority of the wine production in Italy (which is where Chianti wine gets its name).

Do you want a PISA me?

We have all seen the classic pictures of people pretending that they are pushing the leaning tower of pisa, kicking it, poking it, licking it, punching it, or even giving birth to it (Yes, I have seen this in action).  But let me tell you-it is not an easy task to get the perfect angle to actually make the photo look somewhat realistic. So, don't be embaressed or surprised when you find yourself taking an usually long time to get your picture....because we all do it!

As the springtime is closely approaching, we all become very eager to transition our wardrobes from cold weather apparel to new, fresh and lightweight clothing to wear during the warmer days ahead. To some people, this could become an arduous task due to difficulty finding the right pieces to reflect their style, or rather they are lacking the funds to support their wardrobe needs/wants. My easy fix to this problem is focusing on small accessories which could be worn with several different looks, instead of looking to purchase an over-abundance of clothing pieces which may very well only be worn once or twice.

One small but very valuable accessory which is often overlooked is a pair of glasses. When you think about it, a person's glasses may very well be the first thing noticed by others, being that it frames one’s eyes. Because glasses are a necessary accessory for some people, much thought often goes into choosing a pair that truly reflects his/her personal style. You can really tell a lot about a person’s style just from simply looking at the frames he/she is wearing.
