NYC Fashion Week

As all fashion lovers know, this past week was the Fall 2014 New York Fashion Week.  Fashion Week is a huge, semi-anually event in which major designers come to the fashion capitals and present their collections for the next season.  It is an event in which many people dream their whole lives of going to.  I was lucky enough to get invited to the Betsey Johnson Fashion Show, by Marist College.  It was such a great experience, one that I will never forget.  Just being in Lincoln Center during fashion week, is a dream come true for me because I hope to become one of those fashion gurus/famous bloggers that are sighted there during this momentous week. I am really glad that I was able to go to Betsey Johnson's show.  Her collections are always very congrous to her perky and whimsical personality, filled with sparkles and shine.  She always ends her show with one of her signature tricks, usually including a split or a cartwheel.  Before the fashio show, my mom and I went to see the Katie Couric Show, which was great as well!  One of the guests was Randy Fenoli, from Say Yes to the Dress, whom I admire.  Overall, it was a wonderful and unforgettable day!
About my outfit: This red leather jacket actually belonged to my aunt from when she was in High School, and I found it hanging in my grandparents' garage.  This was a great find and completed my outfit wonderfully. I bought this black, BCBG midi skirt on sale, which was a purchase that I am very proud of.  Midi skirts are very in style right now and I love the fullness that it has to it.  My mom bought these black BCBG heels for me from Marshalls, on clearance for $30! I also bought this Vince Camuto floral blazer, on clearance at Marshall's for $24.99.
